Capability Development
Building skills in futures thinking, horizon scanning, and scenario planning
FutureCraft
One of CSF's key roles is to build strategic foresight capability across the Singapore Public Service. To this end, the Centre conducts a series of training courses known as "FutureCraft" at the Civil Service College, which introduces participants to key concepts, skills, and tools needed to apply futures thinking in their work. Our FutureCraft courses, which are for Singapore public officers only, are as follows:
FutureCraft 101: Introduction to Foresight
This introductory course provides a “taster” of foresight work in Government, focusing on identifying signs of change, sense-making and communicating insights. Budding futurists will be exposed to a range of basic tools to get started in their futures journey.

Our next run will take place on 17 November 2026. Registration closes on 10 November 2026.
