About CSF's Futures Conversation
As part of the Centre's efforts to adapt to a world disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, we held our first Futures Conversation (FCx) event entirely online in 2021. Under the theme 50 Shares of Power, FCx2021 brought together 27 participants from around the world on Zoom and Discord to explore the evolving nature of power and its implications on societies and nation-states.
Since then, FCx has continued to evolve. In September 2023, we reconvened in-person for Ways of Seeing: Narratives Amidst Uncertainty (FCx2023), and most recently in July 2026 for a conversation on the K-shaped world.
Intended to be more of a close-knit gathering rather than formal conference, FCx creates space for candid conversations and unexpected connections. Its smaller scale allow us to experiment with new formats and inject a greater sense of play, creativity, and curiosity to futures conversations.
Attendance to FCx is by invitation only.
