Since its inaugural run in October 2011, our biennial event bring together an international, eclectic and multi-disciplinary group of thinkers, for a conversation with each other and with other government officials. The diverse mix of participants allows for the cross-pollination of ideas and emergence of fresh perspectives.
2011 # The Future of Asia and Its Place in the World CSF’s inaugural Foresight conference explored the theme of the future of Asia and its place in the world. It sought to develop new perspectives of Asia and the continent’s risks and opportunities
2013 # Foresight and Public Policy Developed a framework for understanding trust among citizens and between citizens and public institutions.
2015 # Global Cities in 2035: Flows, Spaces and Flux Highlighted ways in which technology could change the nature of work, governance and politics.
2017 # Identities and Aspirations Explored the various dimensions of identities people assumed, the impact driving forces such as religion and technology had on identity, and the possibilities and limits of government’s role in national identity construction.
2019 # Society 4.0 Imagining what society in the Fourth Industrial Revolution could look like. We examined this future society through the lenses of Individuals, Relationships, Time, and Values.
2024 # A Season for Brave Ideas: Another Paradigm is Possible Explored different and better ways of thinking, working, and living together through three subthemes: Another Architecture is Possible, Another Belonging is Possible, and Another Coexistence is Possible.
